Hay grandes ausentes como Richie Sambora, Lenny Kravitz y Brian Jones, y cabe destacar que hay guitarristas cuya popularidad no es mostrada en esta lista como Peter Townshend con solo 2 votaciones, George Harrison y Carlos Santana con 3 cada uno, y Keith Richards con sólo 1 voto. ¡Ellos son musts en otras listas!
También podemos observar que los tres más grandes guitarristas fueron David Gilmour, Erick Clapton y Jimi Hendrix con 8 solos de guitarra considerados por el público conocedor como extraordinarios. }
Sin embargo hay que reconocer que mientras Clapton y Gilmour continúan, en cierta forma, vigentes, la carrera de Hendrix fue efímera, cortada por un cóctel de licor y medicamentos, toda una bomba para su cuerpo.
En esto de hacer listas siempre habrá conflictos y es difícil darle gusto a todos.
Desde la perspectiva de la que dicta y manda en este blog (y se que muchos no estarán de acuerdo, pero es mi blog y yo se lo que pongo) los cinco mejores solos de guitarra son:
